The Geometry of Belonging - Metal Framed Poster
This artwork is based on an original 48 × 48 inch oil on canvas painting by Ruben Dario. Drawing inspiration from Pontormo’s Deposition, the work reimagines its intimate, suspended composition through a contemporary, fragmented language.
Intertwined bodies dissolve into one another, constructed from angular planes of shifting color that hold both individuality and interdependence. Their circular embrace creates a self contained space of tension and care, where belonging is not assumed, but formed through proximity, vulnerability, and the act of holding and being held.
Rather than presenting duality as opposition, the work explores connection as something built, negotiated, and sustained. It is a reflection on intimacy, presence, and the quiet strength found in shared existence.
