Hayden | Original Painting
Hayden explores the tension between the body we inhabit, the way the world perceives us, and the person we understand ourselves to be. Rather than depicting transition as a simple before and after, it presents it as an intimate, layered process of self-recognition: a journey through distortion, uncertainty, and transformation toward the freedom to exist authentically.
Social Distortion looks at the distance between how the world sees a person and who that person really is. Through fragmented portraits, architectural passages and shifting planes, the series gives a face to people whose stories are too often reduced to headlines, labels or statistics. The world distorts them. What remains whole is the gaze.
