Dorian | Original Painting

Dorian is a portrait of becoming: not of changing into someone else, but of bringing the physical body closer to a self that was already there. The powerful body in the foreground contrasts with a distant silhouette framed by arches and stairs, suggesting the journey toward a once-imagined self, while the Venezuelan landscape connects Dorian to origin and memory.

Social Distortion looks at the distance between how the world sees a person and who that person really is. Through fragmented portraits, architectural passages and shifting planes, the series gives a face to people whose stories are too often reduced to headlines, labels or statistics. The world distorts them. What remains whole is the gaze.
