Innocence

Innocence is a tribute to the purest essence within every human being: the capacity to feel, to dream, and to love without fear. Through vibrant color fields and precise geometric construction, the series gives form to a state of being that exists before cynicism, before power, and before harm.

The works Silenced, Faded, and Camouflaged reflect different ways innocence is compromised or taken away. They reference both the quiet losses that occur through neglect and conformity, and the brutal realities faced by children in war zones, where innocence is not gently lost but forcibly removed. Fragmentation, layering, and interruption within the compositions mirror the external forces that shape, restrict, or erase a child’s sense of safety and self.

Yet the series is not only about loss. Beneath the fractures remains presence. Innocence serves as a reminder that within each of us still lives the child who once saw the world with wonder and openness. The work asks the viewer to recognize that fragility not as weakness, but as a fundamental human strength that deserves protection.
