Animals are like people, and the other way around. The piece presents a bold and slightly confrontational portrait of authority, ego, and projection. This little guy sits dressed in unmistakable symbolism, confidence pushed just past the edge of parody. He is just a little yapper, yet he expects to be treated like a king. He loves being called a good boy. Unfortunately, it is in his nature to bite.

Paper and print quality
Each print is an archival giclee, produced with 12 color pigment printing for full tonal range and accurate color, on 200 gsm (80 lb) museum quality paper, FSC certified, with a smooth matte finish and a clean, glare free surface. Every print is hand signed and numbered by Ruben Dario in pencil, edition of 25, and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

Framing
This listing is for the framed edition at and includes shipping. The piece is custom framed, mounted with archival photo corners rather than adhesive so it can be removed or reframed without damage, and glazed with UV protective plexiglass to prevent fading over time. It arrives ready to hang.
